Don't Let Small Things Hold You Back

Have you ever let one small thing hold you back from accomplishing great things? This morning I was driving from a doctor's appointment to here, and I heard this this commercial on the radio. It was this investment adviser who said, all you have to do is figure out where you want to go and how you want to get there. 

If you've listened to me for any length of time, you've heard me say it takes clarity, strategy and action. I just wanted to call that guy in the commercial and say, look, you can think about where you want to go and why you want to go. And even how are you going to get there. But if you don't leave, you're never going anywhere.  What I want to talk with you about today is allowing these small things to hold you back from doing great things. It has to do with the lack of action and why we don't take action. I'm telling you, it has to do with your confidence.

You and I could be very successful. We could have accomplished so many things.  But you've got to admit, there are some things in our lives and in our businesses that hold us back because we just don't have the confidence in that one area to help us move forward. So we don't do it and probably because we don't want to mess up all the great stuff we've already done. So if you think back to the day you got into business, your confidence level was high.  Nobody could have ever talked you out of taking this leap and going and doing what you've done. So now you get to this one point and you have your doubts. There's some uncertainty there. And you need you need to find a way to push forward.

How do you do it? It starts with small habits. You create these small habits and they turn into disciplines.  Once you get those disciplines, it will turn into confidence and it will even make you convicted like you were when you started your business. There is no one that's going to be able to tell you you can't do something. Small habits turn into disciplines. Create confidence.
